another antenna in a tree ? from a rookie
 
i am going to put my solarcon a99 in an 80 ft oak tree i no the fcc rule
about ant hight i live in the country and my lot is very privite .
what is the best coax should i use helix cable did i spell that right
lol or rg 213 i need about 100ft . thanks guys 73s from alabama
ps by the way i am study for my ham ticket

Right! Heliax is the Andrew Corporation brand name for some of the
world`s best coax cable. Their related products are tops too. Sometimes
you can`t afford less.

I am compelled to add to what the well respected and experienced Richard has
said. I have never seen a failure with Andrew products. When supplementing
a system some thirty years after installation, I found from measurement that
the very long run (about 450 feet) of Heliax put in 30 years earlier was
indistinguishable from the new run added along side.

I own no part of the company.

Do it right - do it once.
