but you'd think this was the easy part of gettng my antenna mounted :) the new link you mentioned has 2 problems their brackets are still steal, they will rust, i guess i should have said i need the brackets to be either aluminum or stainless any chance you know of a place that has those my usual places don't carry them the other bad thing about that site wich btw i tried, is that it has a ton of dead links on it, and i contacted them to inform them ,and didn't seem like they cared so didn't strike me as reputable but i am greatful ---anyone out there know of a place that sells them? thanks In article , Bob Miller wrote: On Thu, 03 Feb 2005 12:35:59 GMT, ml wrote: In article , Bob Miller wrote: On Thu, 03 Feb 2005 02:21:44 GMT, ml wrote: hi I will be putting up a small antenna soon, using a small mast mounted to a brick wall. said i need the brackets to be either aluminum or stainless any chance you know of a place that has those my usual places don't carry them One possible option is to check around at marine-supply companies. They seem to have quite a few different stainless-steel antenna mounting brackets of one sort or another. Rail-mount brackets seem to be the most common, but stick-out-from-a-wall mast brackets are also available. http://www.naval.com/flanges/mast-mount-1.5/ http://www.busse-yachtshop.de/dae_antennenhalter.html "Make it out of stainless, call it marine-grade, and multiply the price by 5" seems to be the usual approach. -- Dave Platt AE6EO Hosting the Jade Warrior home page: http://www.radagast.org/jade-warrior I do _not_ wish to receive unsolicited commercial email, and I will boycott any company which has the gall to send me such ads! |
