Default average signal amplitude

When recording impulsive wideband signals I have noticed that the mean value
of the signal is sometimes not equal to zero from the start to the end of
the impulse. Is this possible and if so, why?

Thank you for your help

answer my questions asked in one of your other postings... asking the same
questions more or less in 3 postings with different subject lines within 1
minute does not enhance your chances of getting a reply.
