oups.com... How would I go about making a cheap, easy cb antenna for a base station at my house? How far would it need to be from my 2 meter antenna? Could I make a whip by cutting an aluminum 3/8 rod to a 1/4 wave and thread the end to go into one of those 3/8-24 so239 mounts? Take any good 10 meter design -- and lengthen the elements OR a 12 meter antenna and shorten the elements. Standard theory here, found in any Radio Handbook (ARRL, RSGB, Bill Orr) Library has copies or can get you one from their network. gb |
