Insulation and dielectric properties are not the same things, are
they? The volume resistivity of a material is particularly important
in dielectric applications, but not necessarily so in insulation
applications. PVC may be okay as an antenna insulator, but not so ok
as a trombone trap dielectric. Phenolic is a good insulator, but not
necessarily a good dielectric.
