Ladder line loss through brick
Hi,
My doublet is fed with 300-ohm ladder line passing through a 3/4" wide, 10" long hole in the outside wall, which itself is constructed of red house-brick. Is there any data available as to how much loss I should expect from this considering that the SWR will be quite high on most HF bands? A 'Google' search brings up a lot of data on wireless LAN (GHz) losses but nothing that is of much help to me. The antenna is of indeterminate length (although longer than a half-wave on 3.5MHz) and is matched at the transmitter by a balanced line tuner. 73 de Joe, G3LLV |
