Default The Great Transatlantic Cable

We hams worry about getting signals through a few meters
of transmisssion line.
How about doing it through a few thousand kilometers,
under an ocean,
without a computer model,
and finally getting it to work?

The USA PBS TV network is showing a new program,

"American Experience: The Great Transatlantic Cable"

tonight (April 11, 2005) at 9pm EDT.

If you can't get PBS, a google search for
"Transatlantic Cable" "Cyrus Field"
brings up several links that look promising.

Cheers, 73,

Ron McC.
