AFAIAC the background radiation proves the Big Bang.

If we can throw out time, I'll bet we can explain away CBR.

My copy of "The End of Time" is in. I'll let you know what I think.

It is extremely tough reading. It is virtually impossible
to use the English language to discuss the non-existence
of time. I had to keep asking myself: "If time doesn't exist
and has never existed, what is this English sentence trying
to say?" Seems to me, "time" is a concept introduced by man
in order to catalog and correlate changes. We are the only life
form on earth that requires the concept of time, just as we
are the only life form on earth that requires the concept of
a creator.

Cecil:

We do not require a "creator." We do require a plausable explaination of
how this all exists...

Specifically, my one burning question I want the answer to is "where did I
come from?" (Well, I already know what my mom and dad were doing and their
part in this whole mess... grin)

Frankly, if my distant relatives are apes... well, I can handle that--but
STILL they WON'T be invited for xmas or a sons wedding!!!

However, there just is no way of knowing with present knowledge--without a
leap of faith in one direction or another--I simply loath evolutionists for
attempting to promote their religion as "the one true religion." They are
simply as bad as the rest...

Warmest regards,
John

Hint: Take the shortest leap of faith possible.
Evolution is simply one of the tools in God's toolbox.

A certain rodent, known as a "kha-nyou" by the locals in Laos,
evolved around a million years ago. The local people have been
eating them for thousands of years. Yet this animal is in the
news as something "new". It doesn't exist until some previously
ignorant Western guru gives it a Latin name???

Yeah, unless I'm mistaken mountain gorillas were officially discovered in
1902, I'm pretty sure their species evolved a good deal more than a million
years ago also. There are blurbs on the net right now dealing with a new
great ape species. We have to remember modern science is really only about a
hundred years old.
We seem to be discovering new species almost as fast as we are
pushing existing ones into extinction.

Cecil:

Those darn Laotians are eating them!!! Yanno, that is a sacred animal to
me--kinda like the cow to the (eastern) Indians!!!

Well, I hope you don't relate that to the myth of "time"... time has never
been discovered--men/women are still looking... what has been
discovered--the earth rotates--and radioactive material loses atomic
particles!!! grin

Warmest regards,
John

No doubt, but there are leaps of faith, and there are leaps of faith.
One type allows you to believe that things happened a certain way, and
you will argue for it.

The other causes you to pray to it, structure your life around it, and
to be prepared to engage in physical battle with those who disagree with
you.
