Loop antenna with FC-40

I'm considering purchasing the Yaesu FT-40 automatic antenna tuner for
my FT-857D. Does anyone know if you can use a loop antenna with this tuner?
The brochure states that it will handle a random wire with a minimum length
of 66 feet, but does this mean the loop must be a minimum of 66 feet also?

Since from the pictures, it looks like there is only one connection at
the top of the tuner, a ceramic insulator with a wind nut (I may be wrong)
how would one connect both ends of the loop antenna to the tuner?

I'm not familiar with the FT-40 but the SGC-230 has one connection on
top for the antenna and one connection on bottom for the ground plane.
These autotuners are unbalanced devices but some hams successfully
use them to feed balanced antennas - one balanced wire to the antenna
terminal and the other to the ground plane terminal.
