Nowadays, a PAR or KB6KQ is best.....when the band is not open, you want to use horizontal pol for best "local" coverage...out to 200+ miles or so |

A commercial version of this antenna (6m moxon) is available. I put one up
last year and am VERY pleased with it. You can find it in the AES catalog (Amateur Electronic Supply).
