They are more maneuverable, cheaper to produce, and much more fuel efficient--not the the gov't cares. I can see where a heavier vehicle such as the Hummvee has a place, but then there's lots of jobs a smaller Jeep could do, too. (yeah, I am partial to the Jeep, but it is just MHO). Jerry |
