Hi Mark,

This is more distinctive, and I have heard this before. I do not
think it is local noise, sounds more like jamming. In fact, it may
not be on the frequency you think it is, but rather is an IF image.

Try tuning around 910KHz higher (or lower) in frequency to see if you
can hear the same thing. (910KHz will only work if your receiver has
an IF of 455KHz)

using as portable radio + loop antenna, but my ALA is mounted on the
shed and I have no other loop available. Maybe someone can identify a
possible noise source by listening to the clip, or at least give more
tips. If not, I'll try to walk around the neighbourhood with just a
portable, and see what the results of that are.
