6m on top or bot of TV ant???thanks
I would like to ''do this'' because I lack tower space, at present.. I
have a TV antenna that is on a small tower at about 28' , with a tv rotor. I also have a 6 meter horz ground plane , (you know the one that looks like a 'pie slice') I would like to add this horz gd plane to the tower,,,,,,,,, my question is this,,, would I be better off putting it on top of the Tv antenna or below?, what would be a 'good spacing' one way or the other (6 on top or 6 below ) I would like to get some use out of the 6 now, because it will be a while before I get another tower up. $$$ Thanks in advance. cl 73 |

A (vertical) ground plane antenna is commonly a 1/4 wave or 5/8 wave vertically polarized antenna with 3 or 4 ground radials. The Omniangle is a horizontally polarized omni antenna. If this is the Omniangle keep it 4' or so away from the TV antenna. Expect some TVI on low VHF channels. Dale W4OP |

There will be enough coupling between the antennas that there is a chance you will burn out the front end of the TV. If the TV has protection diodes on its inputs, that will be a source of TVI when you transmit. Tam/WB2TT |
