Posted the following on another NG. Seemed to generate quite a bit of
interest.

That paper is pretty old, and when I went looking for recent things on
CFA a few months ago, there was practically nothing new. My
impression was that any CFAs that weren't yet dead should be put out
of their misery. Anything newer to report? P. T. Barnum
reincarnated?
