Well, my local radio shack told me that hadn't seen one in years. A
fellow responded to me direct from this newsgroup with the radio shack part number (21-903), and suddenly, my local store had four in stock. - jim Henry Kolesnik wrote: most Radio Shack stores have or can order.. I would avoid Rat Shack and others that cater to the CB crowd. Those
products lose their spring, corrode, etc., Try a manufacturer which sells to public safety users (Antenna Specialists, etc.).A few decent sources: http://www.antenex.com/ http://www.tessco.com/ GL & 73 Dan (K0DAN) On Sun, 07 Dec 2003 13:59:53 -0800, James W wrote: Cannot find those good old 102inch CB antennas any more. Dan,
Contrary to what some people think, 'Radio Shack' doesn't make many of their products. They buy from the same suppliers that 'Antenna Specialists' buys from, or the 'truck stop' shops, among others... 'Doc |

Sure, it may be ".. from the same suppliers that 'Antenna Specialists' buys from...", but my suspicion is it'd be the dregs -- the stuff A.S. rejected. 73 Jonesy -- | Marvin L Jones | jonz | W3DHJ | OS/2 | Gunnison, Colorado | @ | Jonesy | linux __ | 7,703' -- 2,345m | config.com | DM68mn SK |
Rat Shack has good whips, if you can find a store with one/them. DO NOT,
however, use their springs. They WILL rust since they are plated. I believe the whips are stainless. Guys around here have been using them Steve K'9'd'c'i "James W" wrote in message ...
