Bob - Had a TR-4 in the early 1950s. Used a HY75 free running
oscillator modulated by a 6L6. The receiver was a superregen which was an acron tube, 955 I think. But has been a long time and can't remember the ohter couple tubes in the reciver. Enjoy a unique piece of ham history. They were very popular during WWII being used as the basic radio for the WARTS nets. 73 Bob W7AVK Bob Rinaldi w1cny wrote: Can anyone tell me the tube complement of the Abbott TR-4A?
