ART-13

Is anyone the proud owner of an ART-13? I'm in the process of rebuilding my second one.

ART-13

Gary, There are probably a hundred or so of them on the air, currently.
At times a half-dozen will show up on the East Coast "Old Military
Radio Net" each Saturday morning on 3885 (0500-0700 E/EDST). W3PWW is
the NCS. If you've been through the process already once, I won't bore
you with some of the regular pitfalls, like the Surplus Conversion
manual having incorrect power and metering connections. Good luck on
your project and check in with us some Sat. morning at o-dark-thirty....
de Jeep/K3HVG

On the air with an ATC/BC-348R,TCS-13,GRC-26D,GRC-19B,GRC-9Y, and an
SCR-287.

I'm doing some of my own mods such as adding a 50 watt 180 volt zener to the screens.
Using the O-17/ART-13a low frequency oscillator for 160 meters and rerouting the the
output back through the HF Pi network. The power supply is all solid state and is running
1500 volts to the 813. This gives about 110 watts out.

I've got two, plus a set of the connectors, remote control box
and the LF osc, loading coil and other pieces. Had 3 in my life,
great radio. In fact, there's one cooking on just filaments
in the shop right now, just to dry it out.

Forgot to mention, the last one I had on the air was
all set up with grid block keying. The relays werent
fast enough to follow my bug too well......hee.
