Default SX-117 help

Tony, when the receiver is turned off, there is no power to any circuit
and the S-meter should be at zero. If its up scale, its probably sticking.

Mine is on the 40 mark, that is not full scale (which is 60).

Default SX-117 help

Hi Jeep,

glad to read from you again.

The Hallicrafters SX-117 meter must at be at full scale when the receiver is
off. When it warms up the meter goes to zero, and then it works normally. It
is the same on my SX-146.

The only thing I was worried abuot is that the meter is not quite at full
scale (9+40 instead of 9+60) and there is no adjustment. But now I have
realuzed it is only a matter of static charges, as removing the plastic lid
the meter goes to 9+60. And when the lid is not yet in place the meter
reading varies a lot with lid distance, this clearly signifying static
charges. I washed the lid with water and now all is OK.

Did you already change your QTH^?
