A high precision crystal (they may do that for this one since it determines IF) My suspicion is that this radio is sufficiently drifty to begin with that using a high precision crystal is probably a waste of money. But I could see someone recommending it, and it wouldn't hurt anything. 2. Entire L6 assembly ( Replacing the entire L6 shield can -- as described in W1FSN NC-300 revision - page 18 of 18) ftp://bama.sbc.edu/downloads/nationa...sn/300fsn.djvu ICM likely has the documentation for that entire mod -- and may be referencing that -- and may be more than you want. I rather recommend this modification. Xtals are used in upper/lower side band select which replaces L6 assembly. I a surprised to learn that ICM is able to research the NC-300 that well. These guys must be good! They are good, and they have been around a long time. They were making the kits for the NC-300 when it was a current production product, and they still have all the original documentation for everything they ever did. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra.
