Variable gain and pretty good image rejection. Plus your local osc won't be detectable by hostile submarines. There's one on Ebay currently. Not mine. I still use mine with s SP-600. I just use an old-fashioned antenna tuner made with a variable capacitor to "electrically" tune the random wire. Works just as good, my S-38C is fully restored and very hot on the BCB and even up to the 11 meter band! -- "What do you mean there's no movie?" |
