JS, Looking at my 1959 Handbook, there's no project using 813's in a modulator, per se. The high-power modulator in that issue uses 811A's. The only project using an 813 is an amplifier, utilizing a single tube. I'll check deeper in that year and see if I missed something obvious and/or imbedded in the text on modulation/modulators. I have a 1964 (11th edition) handbook here, and it has only one transmitter project which is a little QRP 4-tube set, the Knightkit T-60. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra.
