Hi,
Somehow I ended up with a pair of JVC/Nivico "walkie talkie" transceivers, Model TCR-125. The manufacturing date is 6/62. To some, these qualify as antiques. The radios are serial numbers 1308 and 1309, and are complete with leather cases. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd rate them as an 8 or better. While they are in good physical condition, I put batteries in them, and they don't seem to work...probably dried out caps. One of them hisses faintly and I heard voices on it. The other crackles when turned on, but is otherwise stone quiet. I'm sure somebody on in this group collects old transistor gear, and I'd like these to find a good home. If you are interested, make me a fair offer, or I'll consider something in trade....tubes or variable caps, for example. You can contact me at hpf at-sign gainbroadband dot com Pete AC7ZL |
