Are these mica trimmers or big air variable caps?

People part these out from time to time, usually always have one up
for parts.

RF Parts (California) should have one of them.

Oren Elliott should have the other (one of the original Heath supplies)

Air Variables

Okay, as I recall there was an ECO on the big air variable on the SB220,
because there were some arcing problems with it, so it was replaced with
a heavier-duty one which caused the arcing to occur at the bandswitch
instead. So if you can find pulls from another SB220, make sure they are
the same ones.

Big air-variables are not easy to find in new production any longer, sadly.
The 250 pF you might be able to find at Fair Radio if you can deal with
some slight mechanical changes, though.

What happened to the originals? Arcing or are they bent-up? If they are
bent, it may be easier to disassemble and straighten the plates than to
replace them these days.
