I sold this to someone overseas. Going from UK to Malta.

How do I send this? Do I put all the units on a pallet and cover up, or
what?

Net Weight of units: 342Lbs, 155Kgs.

No matter if its here or over your way, I'd certainly go to an Int'l.
freight forwarder. They can provide the exit and entry handling and
paperwork, which may be extensive. Hopefully, your buyer has the
wherewith all to have the equipment properly prepared for the trip.
Here in the US, we have some country-specific carriers that have a
pipe-line to their respective overseas locations. I, of course, don't
know what the UK's position is with Malta, these days. Do you have any
military equipment transfer requirements? Can you, in fact, ship
military hardware, albeit vintage, to Malta or does it require a Govt.
approval? Again though, looking at your nice equipment, it deserves
professional crating and bracing for the trip, at a minimum.

He's sold it to Malta, that's in the EC and so it shouldn't need any special
paperwork. We don't (yet) have the daft restrictions on old military gear
that you have in the US, although no doubt someone in Whitehall is thinking
some up as we speak. Mustn't say too much or I'll get banged-up for 42 days
without the option!

Richard, have you thought of splitting it into separate items and using
someone like Parcel2Go? They block-book shipping space with outfits like DHL
and don't seem too hung-up on weights like the Royal Mail, they may also
give you a discount on several items to the same address. Worth a try, I use
them quite often.

Well if you do 'that' the pallet might reach malta .... afraid its
going to be nearly as much to post it as the winning bid ... depends
on the buyer , but looks like it will need a crate making and the
internals secured for transit , malta is in the common market , so no
tax problems , this kind of kit is moved round by the forces in
'special transit cases' wooded boxes with internal reinforcing ribs
and retaining bolts ... which are allways marked ' do not scrap
return to stores'

Next time make it buyer collects!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As others have said you will really need some good strong crates. Maybe
give Anchor in Nottingham a call and see if they have any.
