Hi; Anyone know the history ? Why Nye Viking went from WA to ID ? Was the MB V A tuner made the same way in Idaho as it was in Washington ? Is there any component or construction difference between the two units ? Thanks, Bob W1CNY Hi Bob; Good Question but I cannot help you. I also have 2 Nye tuners, 1 is an MB-VA and the older one is one with only one meter & plain rotary switches, both made in Washington state. I do know that when they first started out, thier tuners looked like the big 'ol Johnson match-box except they were sorta black instead of Johnson Maroon. I think they acquired that Johnson line & made them the same until they designed thier own. 73 Bob, Rich |
