Had one follow me home from the local hamfest. It's a Comparison Bridge
with a 2" scope from the mid 50s. Neat looking box. Anyone got any info, manual or what its primary application was/is? pic posted to http://s97.photobucket.com/albums/l237/wd5jfr/ Thanks Hank wd5jfr |

Very handy if you want to make up a bunch of coils that match perfectly. Not quite as handy as an adjustable bridge for determining the value of an unknown, but if you combined it with a decade capacitor box and a variable inductor, you could use it for that. IET Labs is working hard on getting a lot of GenRad manuals up, on http://www.ietlabs.com/pdf/Manuals/index.html now. They don't have a 1604 manual, but you might be able to request one. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra. C'est suisse, et tres, tres precis." |
