Manson Labs SSB Converter for R-390/R-1247
 

\'m selling a Manson Labs CV-1694 SSB Converter. This is similar to
better known CV-591 SSB converter that is used with the R-390 &
R-390A receivers. The CV-1694 was designed for the R-1247 receiver
which was the high stability version of the R-390A for the Apollo
space program. This converter has both top and bottom covers and fits
in a standard 19" rack. This SSB adaptor will work with any
radio that has a 455kc IF. However, it needs some additional inputs:
the 455kc reference signal, a 6.3v filament supply, and a 180v supply
(I think). I searched the web to see if anyone had interfaced this
with the regular R-390A and found some newsgroups where this was
done. Though someone has written "good" on the top cover of this
converter, I have no way to test it so it is sold as is. Price is
$500.00 plus shipping from zip code 63105. Weight is only 9 lbs. but
figure a little extra for double-boxing.
