Repair of Nye-Viking MB-V-A tuner

Anyone know how the detents in the tuner can be repaired ?

Three of them on my tuner are faulty.

(Two won't retain the detent, and one is intermittant.)

Thanks for any help or advice.

Have you tried cleaning and lubricating the detent mechanism? Is the
spring that holds the ball-bearing in place crusted with gunk or stretched
out?

Thanks Scott. The mechanism and springs are clean as a whistle. I'll try a
bit of lubricant and hope that works.
