NEEDED ICOM 745 / 751 MEMORY BOARD

I need to find the internal ram board for an Icom 745/751. I broke
mine by pushing too hard when reinstalling.

Money is tight, as we all know. Do you have one that I can buy?

I sure would appreciate it.

Thank you.

I'm not sure that the 745 is a boatanchor... but have you considered epoxy
and tack-soldering hookup wire jumpers across the break?

Thanks for the reply, Scott. There is hardly a circuit board made
that I won't attempt to repair. However, this one is cracked in so
many places, under chips, front and back that it is crazy to try it.
However, if I don't get a replacement, I am crazy enough to try it as
a very, very last resort.

I wouldn't even mind too greatly to make my own pcb.

Take care.On 30 Sep 2011 09:40:56 -0400, (Scott

Since you have not gotten a REAL answer, I will offer two suggestions:

http://www.piexx.com/ sells a replacement board for $59.

The page with the information is
http://www.piexx.com/index.php?main_...oducts_ id=26

You could also try http://www.willcoele.com/ which updates your
existing board for $53, but this may not be an option since your board
is damages.

I "loaned" my brother my 751 and he bought the Piexx board. He
installed it in about 5 minutes and is good to go. Maybe he has the
old one, but it would be quicker, and probably cheaper, to go with the
Piexx.

Good luck, and 73.
