Sadly, he is more or less right. The FCC has become heavily politicized
in the past few years, and they are controlled more by political pressure
than by folks who understand the technology. Pretty much all of the folks
who actually understand the technology have left the upper reaches of the
FCC management.

And it has nothing to do with the Republicans or the Democrats... it has to
do with the FCC. We can blame Reagan and Clinton both for some of it, but
it is pretty clear that the FCC no longer cares much about the public interest
or about maintaining the airwaves as a sacred trust.
