Imfo needed:: 6146 tube
Hi,
Could someone tell me if a 6293 tube is the same as a 6146 but is a heavy verision of the 4146. thanks, Garry |

Will handle 3 AMPS of plate current in short pulses! This is an "electrically ruggedized" 6146. All other specs are the same. It gets this from having a heavy plate that can store a lot of heat in it, so that it can deal with very high heat generation for a short period of time. If you're operating anything other than pulse service, it's basically equivalent to the 6146, although I suspect it's probably worth more money if you can find someone out there who is running something using it in pulse mode.
