Hi,
I am building a tube type SW AM radio frm scratch and need the IF output

Has it got to be a big 1950s style one?

You can use the little Toko types without any problem, honestly, but
they don't look right unless you use submini tubes, of course.

Hi,
The problem might be that the impedances arent correct and they cant
take the voltages and current. I could be wrong but then.....
thanks.

You could always parallel-feed from a choke, and isolate the IF transformer
from DC with a cap. This would provide a much nicer environment. Then if
you had to you could build big boxes to put the transformer and bypass stuff
into, and it'd even look right.

At a local junk store buy a tube type radio and salvage the IF cans out of it.

Good luck with the project.
