FT-243 and Channel Numbers
Howdy:
Anyone know the method (assuming there was one) of channel number assignment to crystal units---FT-243 holders in particular? RG |
Send a real email address and I will send you a file that lists the FT-243
channels and true frequencies. --Chuck "RadioGuy" wrote in message ... Howdy: Anyone know the method (assuming there was one) of channel number assignment to crystal units---FT-243 holders in particular? RG |
Oops - my error, the list I have is FT-241 crystal frequencies and channel
numbers. Just posted it to alt.binaries.pictures.radio --chuck "RadioGuy" wrote in message ... Howdy: Anyone know the method (assuming there was one) of channel number assignment to crystal units---FT-243 holders in particular? RG |
Chuck:
Thank you very much... that sure is hard to come by information! I'm happy to see that there was a logic behind the channel assignment numbering after all---maybe I can 'crack' the code behind the FT-243's. I found this IEEE paper on the history of the quartz crystal industry in America that I would like to pass along: http://www.ieee-uffc.org/fc_history/bottom.html I hate to think about it... I spent a good bit of time in Brasil and never once thought about picking up a couple of monster quartz crystals that seemed to be sold everywhere---they sure would look good on the station desk.
