Take your elitist crap and shove it - elsewhere - please.

*Licensed* Hams, indeed.

It does see silly that they would claim the forum was only
for those with a license. Both made stand alone receivers, including
some that weren't just for the ham bands. The post did not say
the forum was only for ham equipment, it simply claimed one had
to have a license to participate in the forum.

If keeping the riff-raff out was the policy, surely the fact that
much of that equipment is now old and expensive is the filter; one
has to have a level of capability to talk about such equipment.

Not the problem - it's the arrogance of *some* hams (some of my best
friends are hams ;) then there's the *others*.

Dunderhead?
FCC 1st since 1966 - added RADAR in 1978 - smallest transmitter
currently on the air - 5KW (WMER 1390 AM)...

Collins? start with an R-391 - closet full of 390 390A 391 spares (OK so
my 390A is a Capehart)- 40 years experience - code - yeah - 60 67 75 &
100WPM flying iron (greenkeys)- 15WPM - what a waste of bandwidth...

yeah - I'm just a dunderhead - can't comprehend nothin'
