Was there a T-4C?

There was a T-4 "reciter" which was a transmitter meant to use only the
VFO from the matching receiver because it did not have its own VFO. I'm
not aware if it lasted until C-line days.

T-4X* series were complete transmitters with an internal VFO.

The T-4X was the original transmitter of the 4-line that came out in 1964.
The T-4XC came out 10 years later in about 1974 and had some solid-state
circuitry.
They are the same basic block diagram but the circuitry is considerably
different.
