Help needed on Kenwood R-599

I just bought a Kenwood R-599 without a user manual. I can't get it to do a
thing ! are there supposed to be any jumpers on the remote connector on the
back when used in stand alone mode ? there are none right now.

thanks !!!

No jumpers are needed on the remote connector. Just make sure the
crystal selector switch inside the top of the receiver is set to the
internal VFO (max counterclockwise switch position). Also make sure a
speaker is attached. Let us know how it goes.

I found that by using headphones and turning the volume to maximum it was
"working". volume is very very low.

can anyone scan me a schematic of the audio board so I can debug that ?

thanks !
