Any particular reason you wanted a "B" model?

Seems to me when I was repairing them that that
rendition had some turret problems. Think they
either did field change or was changed in the next
issue.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Then again - it did seem like there
was something in the early units that the later one didn't have
(interface stuff perhaps?). Been much too long!

What I remember was that the RF head (turret) would hang
up once in a while due to poor alignment between the
contacts, fixed and on the head. Was a bearcat to fix
and usually meant replacing the head as by the time the
ops turned it in for repair, the contacts were shot.

Oh well, been a long time for me too........still got
couple 390A's though, great fun.
