How about black braided fishing line? A little beeswax on it so it'll grip

Dearborn/Belden CDT's Telecommunications Grade Lacing Cord was designed
specifically for the telecommunications industry.

Lacing Cord is used primarily for "stitching" or "lacing" cable bundles.
The product offers good resistance to most mineral acids and weak alkalis,
and moderate resistance to strong alkalis at room temperature.
Cords are designed from first grade, high tenacity continuous filament
polyester coated with a microcrystalline fungicide wax and are available in
9 ply or 12 ply constructions.

Military Grade lacing cords or tapes are also available in a wide variety of
finishes and Mil Spec approved.

Here is Link's (L3) cable harness spec. If you can do page 9 on your first

Dale
Don WA0JOW had some black cord at the Tulsa hamfest and I think he took some
home. Try him at: . If that doesn't work, I bought
one spool and probably can spare what you may need.
