Trio TS-500

Hi anybody out there that could tell me what the coil resistance of the Trio
TS-500 transmit/receive relay is, it's missing in my renovation project.
It's driven by the triode in a 6BL8 valve which has 150V plate voltage. I
guess its high but?

I am not at all familiar with the TS-500 ,but ,I think you need a plate
relay ,as used in Vox circuits ..it will be high resistance like 2 to
10 Kohms..Usually they have a circuit to adjust the "pull in " point..
I also believe you can find one at Fair Radio Co. Sorry I don`t have
the stock # ..GL 73 Harold W4PQW.

Fair Radio has it at their website part is P&B KR-4175 @ $2.00
should work OK I have used them W4PQW

Thanks Harold

I have a relay with a 5k ohm coil but according to my calculations the plate
dissipation of the valve is 1.7W and with this plate voltage it would
require near 4W for this relay. To match the power dissipation of the valve
I would need a relay with a coil resistance of 13k ohms. Is that possible,
did they make relays with such a high coil resistance, the gauge of wire
must have been very fine. I will contact Fair Radio and ask their advice and
see what they have in stock. The relay has 4 double-pole change-over
contacts which is quite a complex rewire job, so a drop in device would be
great!

Best 73. Thanks for the swift and helpful reply.
