As the late W1RMZ (who bought one of the first FM-27's said
"The nice thing about the FM 27B is transmits from 146-148, all at the same time...." Sorry, every I see one of these for sale I remember Dicks review of his new purchase. It was cutting edge technology in its day -- Carl WA1KPD Visit My Boatanchor Collection at http://home.comcast.net/~chnord/wa1kpd.html "Charlie Hugg" wrote in message news:Aivae.22930$up2.18288@okepread01... FS: Clegg model FM-27B 2-meter amateur transceiver. It is a 146.0 to 147.99 MHz, narrow-band (5 KHz), 25 watt mobile transceiver. The radio utilizes a 'crystalplexer' frequency synthesizer system to generate the transmit and receive channels. The receiver works fine, but have not checked out the transmitter. Don't have a manual and frankly can't figure out how to get the cabinet off. The cabinet is in good condition, having only a few very scratches. The front panel has some tarnish and scratches. Include is the original microphone, power cord, locking mounting bracket (no key). Price is $40 shipping in lower 48. Thanks, Charlie Hugg, K5MBX |
