HQ40 Vs 50
Just wondering if any significant pro/con between the HQ140X and HQ150 for a
newbie to work on and in performance. Thanks. Phil C. |

There's lots of good stuff on the net on vintage receivers, just do a google search. Here is one that might be of help... http://www.dxing.com/rx/tindex.htm Good luck....Gil |

Truth told, the HQ-140X, the 140-XA and '150 are generally the same
receiver, except that the '150 has a Q-multiplier. If memory serves me correctly, the HQ-150 came with 2 types of cabinets; the old rack cabinet type and later a "new" wrap-around type. The '140 has a round S-meter, the '150 has a more typical Hammarlund plastic job. I have both these receivers and both are very nice to use and look at. Matching speakers a bit problematic, however. The do show up on Epay, albeit infrequently. Good choice, either one! |
