eico 320 help/coil needed
hello I have an eico 320 that desperately needs it's "B" coil 450-1250kc so if anyone has a scrap unit and wants to sell the coil please email me! Thanks Jim |
Hi:
There is nothing magic about a stock coil. It simply provides inductance. You can make your own and adjust it until the range is correct. No more difficult than putting your shoes on. You do not even need a formula. Just put more wire on than the higher band and less wire than the lower. Adjust the turns until the output is what it is supposed to be. On the broadcast band you can even listen to your $2.99 radio and calibrate against local broadcast stations. I recall doing that when I was about 10 years old.
