Hello Brian and Stan. Thank you for confirming my measurements, couldn't imagine it working any other way. I can cross VFO2 off the possible cause list... Brian. PS If I feed 2.5mhz into the set via antenna socket from a signal generator the set receives it at 2.5mhz. If I tune the sig gen to 2.6mhz, the RA17 receives at 2.4 (2.7/2.3; 2.8/2.2; 2.4/2.6) etc. Any suggestions on the cause appreciated. It receives nothing else. The first thing I would check is the local oscillator input to the second mixer. It should be 37.5MHz at several volts. It can be checked on test point 3 (I assume you have a circuit). -- Cheers, Stan Barr stanb .at. dial .dot. pipex .dot. com (Remove any digits from the addresses when mailing me.)
