FT-243 labels

Hi,
Can anybody scan a few of their xtals with good original non-mil labels?
I'd like to repro a few labels for some of my xtals and maybe others
would like to do the same.
You could post them at alt.binaries.pictures.radio or send via email.

Thanks,
Bill WX4A

I'd be happy to, but I am not sure what you want. I have a box full of FT243
xtals, but with the exception of a few that were reworked by companies like
JAN, or texas xtals, they all have the original military bakelite, or metal covers.

Please explain.

Hi Chuck,
I'm looking for the labels like those from Jan, Texas Crystals,
Peterson, etc. I guess that would be the "reworked" ones.

You should be able to play them on a flatbed scanner and get
excellent images. I have a couple FT-243, but I think they are all mil
surplus. I'll try to get to them and see what i have. I know i have a
few N.O.S Bliley crystals, but I don't know what cases they are without
opening the crumbling paper boxes. Would you like scans of the boxes,
too?

Just need some "ham market" labels to stick on my xtals.

Tnx,
Bill

Texas Crystals, Crystek, Jan, and others often reworked WWII
military surplus FT-243 crystals to customer specs. They either
replaced the original front plate with a new one--with their
company named embossed, or they simply used a stick on
label to cover the original faceplate marketings. The bakelite
housings still have the tell tale military channel numbers
embossed on them, however--a dead giveaway regarding
their original.. I post my examples on the binaries, and email
cc to Bill.

Here's one more. This one wasn't actually a stick-on label...but it can
be now!
