The shield is the return for the mic and PTT, one pin is the mike, the other is the PTT. Which is which? I don't remember anymore, but it is trivial to figure it out. Turn the radio on, turn the Mic/CW gain control fully CCW, VOX off, USB, and set the radio to high power. Using a dummy load, short a pin to the case, and if it goes "clunk", it is the PTT. The other one is the mic. You're a ham, right? -Chuck |
Never says he's a Ham but you are correct. Hams have been dumbed down
so much that only the "on/off" switch makes a difference. New hams taught to trouble shoot a problem? Ya, right! Ship it back off to Japan. NOYK |

I certainly didn't intend to offend you. If you forward the instructions
I gave you, your friend should be able to figure out the connections. They are pretty simple. -Chuck jwb wrote: dont own the radio this was for a friend in australia who doesnt have the internet.sorry i bothered "jwb" wrote in message news:1us1f.403789$x96.92466@attbi_s72... looking for a mic diagram for a heathkit sb-104 thanks jack |
