Help with adjustments
 

Can anyone suggest where, in the US, I can buy a well-assorted set of non-metallic adjustment tools for capacitive trimmers, including those bearing a small metal blade at the end.

And a well-assorted set of non-metallic tools for inductors, including those having an exagonal hole, in various sizes.

Oddly enough, I saw a set at Radio Shack the night before last. Ocean
State Electronics also sells some tuning tools, various sizes, as
singles and sets.

I agree - the set I just bought at the Shack had tuned most of the
equipment I have - unless you are working on something very old or
oddball, the set will work.

Tony, Mike, Dave:

I second the recommendation. However, while you can, purchase two
sets. If you do encounter an oddball that doesn't fit, it's easy to
file or trim one of the spares with an exacto knife to fit the
oddball. Also, trimming wooden skewers, thin chopsticks and the like
will "get you by" in an emergency...

Hi Tony,

I had a set from RS which quicky stripped. I bought a technician's set
from http://www.partsexpress.com and they've been used for 15 years :-)

Try: oselectronics.com They have the genuine GC alignment tool kits.
Rat Shak tools disintegrate if you look at them too long...!
