FA: Vehicular Mounting Base for PRC-104A (makes a GRC-213)
 

This is the mounting base for the AN/PRC-104A radio set
used in the AN/GRC-213 vehicular radio. The unit includes
Electrical Equipment Mount MT-6234/GRC-213, Amplifier AM-7152/GRC-213,
Antenna Switching Unit SA-2365/GRC-213, and associated cables
necessary to build up the GRC-213 with your radio.

The AM-7152 is an audio amplifier that boosts the audio
level from the R/T and makes it available at the SPEAKER
jack on the amplifier. The AM-7152 also provides audio-derived
squelch for the PRC-104A, adjustable via a SQUELCH
control. In addition, the AM-7152 conditions and filters the
vehicular power to protect the radio from overvoltage, noise
spike transients, RFI, and reverse polarity.

The unit is excellent-appearing and has been checked out
with a PRC-104 and also with a PRC-77. Note that the squelch
feature will work with a variety of sets that do not have that
feature, such as the PRC-77, PRC-25, PRC-74, etc.
