How did this happen?

If you will be so kind as to check eBay item #5869648625, a
Hallicrafters Super Skyrider, (not mine, I have no connection
whatsoever) I am wondering how the cabinet can be in such horrible
shape and the faceplate be so ...... minty. Has the faceplate been
restored?

How did this happen?

The chassis is bad but not as bad as the cabinet...Could be that it the
rec was installed in a rack ..He Found an old cabinet and used it..
Looks like a years work to me... OM
