I've been hearing ads for an online cigar store on a radio
station in San Francisco. What's the loophole there--can they talk about selling tobacco products as long as they don't mention any specific brands? Patty |

Patty The law specifically prohibits broadcast advertising of cigarettes and smokeless tobacco. Advertising by retail establishments is not covered. Where I now live, a local chain of tobacco retail stores is a regular advertiser on radio. Mark Howell |
