SoCo Radio has flipped Oldies Cruisin 1040 98.5 KCBR Monument/K253AH
Colorado Springs CO to Classic Hip-Hop Blazin 98.5.

The station is combining the Classic Hip-Hop music with the marijuana
culture in the state. The Wake Bake Morning Show focusing on issues
relating to pot culture aired on short-lived sister station 1580 K-High
KHIG. The pot theme stretches to the midday personality named Miranda
Rights and Weed Pimps afternoon show.

Chicago Public Media & WDCB Chicago Reach Interference Settlement

Chicago Public Media and College of Dupages Jazz 90.9 WDCB Glen Ellyn IL
have reached a settlement over the interference caused by Chicago Public
Medias 91.1 W217BM Chicago that will see the groups start a “creative
collaboration”.

Chicago Public Media has been operating W217BM with 10 watts/365.2m from
the Willis Tower instead of its licensed 99 watts due to interference
complaints from WDCB since shortly after its launch in 2014. To help
satisfy the issues, Robert Feder reports that CPM and WDCB have agreed to a
long-term arrangement to have 90.7 WRTE Chicago continue to simulcast WDCB
to fill in the stations coverage holes in downtown Chicago. WRTE operates
with 6w/107.3m.

W217BM carries CPMs Vocalo younger skewing public radio programming
originating on 91.5 WBEZ-HD2.
